Sophia is an exceptional talent: director, writer, and producer. The diversity in her work -- from graphically designed campaigns to full film productions – speaks to a deep understanding of the ever-changing and complex audiences of the 21st Century.  She has unique abilities and is respected industry-wide.

Her work ethic is incredibly strong, and her goals are always the same – to give 100% on every single project she takes on, and to connect with an increasingly diverse and multicultural viewer.

Born in Memphis, TN, Sophia grew up in East Texas and received a Liberal Arts degree in Radio, Television and Film from the University of North Texas. She is a strategic planner who’s able to think outside the box and deliver innovative and thought-provoking content in a cost-effective way.

Sophia has received Emmy and Beacon Awards for her powerful promotional spots on ending the genocide in Darfur. Most recently, she received a Peabody and two Gracie Awards for producing a series of half-hour shows for Half of Us, mtvU’s initiative to break the stigma of mental illness on college campuses.

Working with celebrities such as Mary J. Blige, Jay- Z, Pete Wentz, Mos–Def, Jill Scott and Joel Schumacher, Sophia’s programming has already generated a strong response from viewers and received critical acclaim.
